It’s a big deal for Elaine’s £32k

A PENSIONER from Evesham is planning to travel the world with her husband after she won £32,000 on the Channel 4 gameshow Deal Or No Deal.

Elaine Taylor, of Burford Gardens, appeared on the television programme after going through 20 shows before it was her turn to face the banker.

She whizzed through the first four rounds, turning down offers of £12,000, £17,500 and £28,000 from the banker before finally dealing at £32,000.

Now Elaine, aged 62, plans to retire from her job as a scheme manager at Burford Gardens.

She said: "I want to do the rumba on a nice, hot beach."

Had Elaine continued onto round five before dealing with the banker, she could have walked away with £64,000.

She said: "I looked at my husband's face and I thought he was going to have a heart attack."Elaine's two children Sarah and Ian and five grandchildren were all watching the show.

Elaine and her husband Reg will be celebrating their win with a party at Offenham Legion Club.
