A PICTURESQUE journey through the rolling fields of the Vale of Evesham will give residents and tourists a chance to learn more about the region's most famous vegetable.
The asparagus season is now in full flow and due to the popularity of one of Evesham's best-loved products, people can take a tour of the area on the Asparabus.
Each journey will be hosted by an asparaguide and the first stop on the route is the National Trust owned pub, The Fleece in Bretforton. Next stop is Evesham and the UK's only asparagus exhibition before lunch is served offering visitors a chance to sample some asparagus flavoured ice cream.

The afternoon begins with a trip to Pershore College where the vegetable is on sale before the coach party heads to Defford and Revill's Farm Shop, growers of the rare purple asparagus. Cream teas will be served in the farm shop to round off the tour.
Given the short nature of the season, the Asparabus tours are only available on May 14 and 21 so booking is advised. A range of pick-up points are available througout the Vale and the cost is £10 for adults, £9 for OAP's and £8 for children.
