Home-Start Cotswolds (North) would like to congratulate our pioneer group of volunteers who have recently completed our exciting training course, which ran for one day per week over ten weeks in term time. The committed and caring volunteers were the first to take part in this training course to provide Home-Start support in the North Cotswolds. These seven volunteers will shortly be giving up three hours per week to offer informal support and friendship to families with at least one child under the age of five years in the North Cotswolds, mostly during home visits.
The volunteers have all enjoyed their training which has prepared them by covering subjects such as: home visiting, listening and confidentiality, domestic violence, values and attitudes and child protection.
We will in fact shortly be running another training course beginning on the 1st May at the Stow Youth Centre.
