POLICE are still hunting for at least two balaclava-clad thieves who tried to wrench an ATM out of the ground in the early hours of Monday morning.
Officers are currently following a number of lines of enquiry after thieves attempted to steal the cash machine on Barnard's Green Road, Malvern outside TP Worldwide Travel.
Two cars, a Mitsubishi and a black Ford Focus, pulled up to the machine at about 2.30am and two people, believed to be male, wearing balaclavas jumped out.
One was also wearing a light coloured body warmer.
They attached a cable to the ATM and the 4x4 and attempted to pull it out of the ground for about ten minutes.
However, the cable snapped and the pair got back into the cars and drove away.
The Mitsubishi, believed to be a L200, is thought to have driven towards Geraldine Avenue and the Focus is thought to have driven off towards Guarlford Road.
It is possible both cars later met up on Guarlford Road.
A neighbour living in flats near to the machine heard a loud 'bang' and called police.
Tyre tracks could be seen on the pavement yesterday and police were speaking to shop owners as well as studying CCTV footage.
Anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency police number on 101 quoting reference number 0043S140414
