MEMBERS of the Droitwich Lions Ladies have got on board with a with a bus that provides fun and activities for young people.

The ladies have donated £500 to the Wychavon Youth Bus, which tours the district offering activities, information and support services for youngsters.

Lions members were keen to show their support after hearing about the good work the bus does and their donation has already been used to buy new music equipment.

Angela Phillips, of Droitwich Lions Ladies, said "At the end of the fundraising year we have to decide what charities or organisations we want to donate to.

"We like to include a youth project if we can and having talked about the lack of rural youth centres in this area, one of our members mentioned the Wychavon Youth Bus.

"After finding out more about the bus it seemed such a good idea to actually take the facilities to where they are needed all over the Wychavon area.

"We are thrilled with the music equipment that has been bought with our donation and hope the young people have a lot of fun using it."

The youth bus can be hired to come to your village for a taster session. For details visit wychavon.gov.uk/youthbus or call Rob Mace on 07773 031205.
