AN artist who has had a £2,000 sculpture stolen has issued CCVTV images of the suspected theft.

The sculpture, created by Ed Elliott, was stolen from premises in the Pixley area, near Ledbury, at about 2.45pm on Saturday, October 25.

The sculpture, entitled Head Study, was the featured piece at this year's sculpture trail at the Jinney Ring craft centre at Hanbury, near Bromsgrove, and was the centrepiece of Mr Ellliott's solo exhibition at the Hive in Worcester. It was for sale at £2,000.

Mr Elliott said: "I'm hoping spreading the word might result in someone recognising the man and vehicle and might help myself and the police find the work and the person responsible."

Mr Elliott, a former student at the Chase School, Malvern, has previously been in the news with an angel sculpture that he set on fire at Castlemorton, and with a snow sculpture he created on Malvern Wells common during a cold spell in 2013.Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting reference number 22ED-69968B-14.
