A NEW support group for people making dietary changes to improve their health is starting up in Malvern in the new year.

The Gluten-Free Healing Diet Support Group will have its first meeting on Tuesday, January 6, and will meet thereafter

on the third Tuesday of each month.

The group is led by local nutrition and health coach Sophie Jones, who said: "“More and more people are recognising connections between the food they eat and their health and wellbeing.

"And it is not just coeliacs who are finding they are better off avoiding gluten. Many people are discovering for themselves how the foods they eat can influence digestive symptoms like bloating, wind or abdominal pain.

"Research is also demonstrating how other health conditions such as arthritis and thyroid disease can be affected by our diet."

The meeting is at the Beacon Clinic, Portland Road, from 7pm to 9pm.
