A DRUGS raid in Worcester this morning led to a man being arrested on suspicion of supply of class A drugs.
At 5.30am this morning, 20 officers fromWest Mercia Police executed a search warrant under the misuse of drugs act at an address in George Street, Worcester.
A 45 year-old-man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
He is being interviewed at Worcester police station.
Safer Neighbourhood teams have been deployed in order to engage with local residents.
Sergeant Alex Denny from the SNT said: "The local residents were pleased with the police response.
"This demonstrates that local communities and police will not tolerate drug dealing in their local areas.
"Drugs cause misery and harm to so many families.
"This sends a clear message that we will respond to community concerns."
