COUPLES in Worcestershire are being offered celebrity-style assistance in planning their weddings, thanks to a new bespoke service.

Worcestershire County Council's registration service has launched the project, which will allow couples to create the day of their dreams.

It covers statutory and non-statutory ceremonies and other occasions such as naming ceremonies and renewal of vows.

Sharon Duggan, registration, coroner and corporate information services manager, said: "The registration service at County Hall has an exceptionally high standard in assisting couples of all faiths and none.

"We are delighted to be providing this bespoke service at a time when there are recent changes to aspects of marriage law.

"This change applies to the amount of notice given to the registration office before wanting to marry, which will increase from 15 clear days to 28 clear days' notice."

This service is available to couples across the county.
