EVENING traffic disruption on Worcester's southern link road will continue this week.

There will be temporary traffic lights at the A4440 Ketch roundabout from tomorrow (May 5) until Friday (May 8) between 8pm and 6am.

The traffic lights will allow Worcestershire County Council to continue work to the final surfacing and lining on the roundabout and its link roads as part of a project costing £8 million.

The roundabout, and all four of the roads leading off it, has already been closed overnight for six nights from Sunday, April 26, to Friday, May 1.

Jon Fraser, the county council's community and engagement manager, has said about the work: "This is part of a phased approach to dealing with one of the most congested routes in the county, which will benefit motorists by improving transport links and infrastructure, helping to boost the local economy."
