Kate Playdon of Worcester is part of a curvy girl group hoping to make a big impression on a TV talent show tonight.

The 26 year-old, formerly of Kempsey, now living in London, and her five singing companions make up The Honeybuns, who will be appearing before the judges on Britain's Got Talent.

Kate, who works for an events company staging functions at such places as Ascot and Tatton Flower Show, Manchester, said: "Some of us met through slimming club and we met the others through performing.

"We wanted to do Britain's Got Talent to improve our confidence. When we attended the audition at the Dominion Theatre in London back in February it was crazy and very daunting. We performed before Simon Cowel, Alisha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden."

Kate was keeping quiet about the audition results.

She said:"It is so exciting and loads of fun. But it's been a long time waiting for it to appear on the TV.

"We all get on really well as a group. One of us is from Wales, another from Bristol and the rest all living in London. It is really fun and we hope the public will support us and give us a chance to show what we can do.

"It is a bit scary. I have never done anything like this before and It's such an amazing experience.

The Honeybuns are a mixture of 6 Divas with huge voices combined with even bigger personalities.

"I can't say what song we are singing but it is a great pop song and I can't say what happens. We just hope everyone watches to find out."
