SHOPPERS in Worcester are being given the chance to make their voices heard over council services.

Officers and members at Worcestershire County Council will be on hand outside the Guildhall between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, August 8 speaking to residents about their views.

This is part of the council’s roadshows, which have so far reached 52,000 members of the public and helped shape policy in areas such as children and families, health and wellbeing and the environment.

The council’s leader Adrian Hardman said: "We welcome the opportunity to discuss our services with the local community who really care about what we're working to achieve.

“Over the last five years the Have Your Say roadshows have been invaluable in helping us understand the priorities of residents, and ensure we are able to reflect this in our planning.

“We want to continue providing this face-to-face communication, and I look forward to meeting many more people across the county to hear thoughts on how we can do things differently at Worcestershire County Council.”

Roadshows will also be held at Kidderminster Town Hall on Wednesday, August 12, Evesham Market Square the following day, Malvern High Street the day after that and Bromsgrove High Street on Tuesday, August 18. All sessions run from 10am until 4pm.
