BRAVE children from Worcestershire will have the chance to meet the air ambulance crew who helped save their lives at a special Christmas party.

The annual party is being held at the Midlands Air Ambulance charity headquarters at Strensham Airbase on Saturday, December 12.

The charity is inviting youngsters, aged 16-years-old or younger, who have been airlifted by the charity in the past three years to come along.

It is organised to give children the chance to meet the aircrew who attended their incidents, and see one of the three air ambulances.

Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “On average we airlift a child every four days, so this event is to acknowledge the bravery of these young heroes.

“It is also an opportunity for the aircrew to see how the youngsters they have airlifted are doing now.”

The Young Heroes Christmas Party is free to attend for the youngsters.

There will be a visit from Father Christmas, festive games and refreshments.
