The High Sheriff of Worcestershire will be amongst the guests at a bonfire celebrating the Queen's Birthday.

On Thursday, April 21 at 7.30pm, about 200 people are expected to attend a bonfire in Hanley Castle, near Upton.

The event is one of several bonfires being held to mark the occasion, with others on the Worcestershire Beacon and Bredon Hill.

A barbecue and bar will be available at the event, which takes place in the park at Severn End.

High Sheriff, Sir Nicholas Lechmere, said: "It will I think be the biggest bonfire in Worcestershire. Ours is a traditional bonfire and is already about the size of a small house."

Entry is free and families are welcome and the bonfire will be clearly marked with flares.
