TEENAGE cyclists will embark on a 278 mile cycling trip this summer following a successful charity exertion last year.

Worcester cyclists Steven Jones, aged 17, of Longfellow Road and Josh Guest 18, of Rockingham Lane will undertake a four day cycle ride between Greenwich Observatory in London and the Eiffel Tower.

On Wednesday July 20, they will begin their journey, raising money for the city's Acorn's Children's Hospice, a charity Mr Jones chose partly due to their partnerships with the teams he supports, Aston Villa and the Worcester Warriors.

The duo last year undertook the Mud Runner Oblivion 2015 at Eastnor Castle for Leukaemia Care after their friend's grandad past-away from the disease.

They have so far raised £, 760 and are hoping to have raised £2,200 in the next four weeks.

Mr Jones, an apprentice at Mazak said: "We would like to say a massive thank you for supporting us, particularly as donors do not know whether or not we will complete our target.

"After enjoying our cycle for leukaemia last year we really wanted to do one again this year.

"The charity we have chosen is Acorns Children's Hospice because we believe that the work they do and the support they give to families and children with life limiting illnesses is tremendous."

Mr Guest is a student at Worcester Sixth Form College.
