A HAIR salon in Derwent Close has been burgled for the second time in eight weeks.

Various hair products were stolen from Fringe Hair Salon after a rear window was smashed on Friday night.

A black bag with purple lining was taken, as well as a cardboard "Affinage" box containing dyes and peroxides, a Hessian sea salt bag and pink microfiber towels.

Michelle Andrews, manager of the salon, said: "We arrived in the morning and the window was smashed.

"We were burgled in May and we didn't expect it to happen again.

"Because of the equipment they took we struggled to trade and we still haven't been able to replace some of the equipment."

Ms Andrews, 37, said the door locks had been tampered with, forcing staff to contact the police to gain entry.

"We are not happy, they took lots of stuff. I think it's the same people that targeted us last time," she said.

PC Hines said: "This burglary has caused a great deal of upset and loss to the staff who work in the salon.

"I would urge anyone with information in relation to the burglary or property stolen to contact me as a matter of urgency."

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "We can confirm that we have received a report of a burglary at this address which occurred overnight Friday July 22 into Saturday 23 July.

"Hair products were stolen and no arrests have been made."
