A FUNDRAISER brought home £5,000 for Worcester's breast unit.
A champagne lunch for approx 120 people took place at Mount Pleasant Farm, Childswickham, on Wednesday, August 17.
An auction, raffle and tombola raised over £5,000 for the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven at 220 Newtown Road in Worcester.
A speech was delivered by Alison Hewett from the development committee for the Worcestershire Breast unit Haven followed and a poem was was written and read by the organiser, Lis Holzgartner, based on her own personal experience of the breast cancer journey.
She referred to the 'brilliance' of her surgeon Michelle Mullan and the NHS nursing staff, also the 'infinite kindness and healing treatments' by Breast Cancer Haven Worcester.
