WHETHER you need a fresh working challenge or are looking at all your employment options, the Worcester News Jobs and Careers Fair could give you the answers you need.
The Worcester News Jobs Fair is now one week away and job seekers are being encouraged to come along to Worcester’s historic Guildhall on Thursday, March 16, and talk to businesses from across the career spectrum.
The event is for all jobseekers looking for a way back into work and will offer a variety of opportunities including vacancies, apprenticeships, academic courses, business start-ups and further education.
A total of 20 exhibitors will be at the historic Guildhall in High Street, Worcester, offering help, advice and information to help people find their next career path from 9.30am until 3.30pm. About 750 jobseekers are expected to attend on the day.
Exhibitors confirmed on the day include West Mercia Police, Worcester City Council, Sanctuary Group, Subway, Marlowe Childrens Centre, Resource Group, Wye Valley NHS Trust, Worcestershire Acute NHS Trust, Shaw Healthcare, BUPA, Friends of the Elderly, Care Tech, Turning Point, Our Place Schools, Kanes Foods, Arcus FM, Forest Garden, Onestore and Job Centre Plus.
One of the biggest draws of the event lies in bringing together the variety of different organisations making up the employment market. There will be a range of vacancies in many industry sectors including nursing, health and social care, retail, sales, payroll/admin, customer service, public sector, and childcare opportunities.
Richard Hencher, event co-ordinator, said: “The event highlights some of the great opportunities available in the local area and give jobs seekers the opportunity to meet employers face to face. It is great to see a wide variety of companies offering local opportunities that offer job seekers a route back into employment.”
