THIS is Daisy, an eight-year-old Jack Russell in the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch through no fault of her own.

She was very traumatised when she came into care but the branch is pleased to say Daisy is gradually improving and now completely trusts Joe, who looks after her at the kennels.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Daisy seems to prefer men to women, so we feel she would be happier living with a man, as that is what she is used to.

"Daisy is hoping there is a man out there with time, understanding and patience who is willing to visit her several times to get to know her and gain her trust.

"Daisy is pictured when she visited the branch's Fun Dog Show on Sunday. You can see she is starting to believe that not all humans are bad and given a chance, the world is at her paws!

"The weather was good - a bit too hot at times - and lots of people and their dogs enjoyed the day."

Daisy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and will be rehomed with six weeks' free pet insurance.

If you feel you could offer Daisy a permanent loving home, please call Geraldine on 01886 822083 for more information.

For more rescued animals seeking adoption, visit the branch website: rspcaworcester.org.uk or call Geraldine on the number above for dogs or Pamela on 01905 841354 for cats and rabbits.

The cats can be viewed at the charity's new rescue centre, The Holdings, Holdings Lane, Broomhall, near Worcester WR5 3FP any day (except Wednesdays) from 11am to 4pm.

Branch dogs are still looked after at private boarding kennels, until the funds have been raised to build the new kennel block at The Holdings.
