A REWARD of up to £2,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest of a man believed to be on the run in West Midlands.

Crimestoppers offered the reward for information about Robert Gilheaney, who was released in 2015 from an 82 month prison sentence for aggravated burglary where he sprayed a person in the face with an ammonia-based fluid, leading to the victim suffering burns and partial blindness.

Gilheaney, aged 26, is wanted on recall to prison after failing to comply with the conditions of his licence following his release.

The aggravated burglary happened in Nottinghamshire and Gilheaney has links to the Loughborough area of Leicestershire, but is believed to on the run in the West Midlands.

He also has an extensive history of offences including burglary, shoplifting and criminal damage.

Pauline Hadley, Crimestoppers's West Midlands regional nanager, said: “Robert Gilheaney is a prolific and violent offender which is why we are offering a reward for information that leads to his arrest.

“We just want to know your information, not who you are. So please, contact us anonymously.”

The reward is dependent on information being passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through an anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
