A SPECIAL home is needed for the longest-stay cat at a Worcestershire animal rescue shelter.

Willow is a two-year-old tabby cat in the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch.

She is described as a special girl who needs a special home.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Willow is such a delight once you get to know her and it's a privilege when you gain her trust.

"Generally she loves people, but can sometimes be a bit temperamental when being fussed and handled.

"Life on a farm or a livery yard would be ideal, where she can have all the space she desires and can come and go as she pleases.

"She may suit a large spacious home with experienced owners, who have a strong understanding of cat behaviour.

"Willow does need space, but she also needs people to be around."

Willow is in good health, litter trained, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Please call Geraldine on 01886 822083 or Pamela on 01905 841354 for more information.

Other cats for adoption can be seen on the website rspcaworcester.org.uk or call into the branch animal centre at The Holdings, Holdings Lane, Kempsey, Worcester WR5 3FP.

The charity is hosting an outdoor Christmas Craft and Gift Fayre at The Holdings on Sunday, November 19, from 10am to 3pm. It's £1 entry, free for children under 12 and parking is also free.

Mrs Haynes said: "Please join us for mulled wine, mince pies and take a tour of our cattery and new small animal house, or win a fabulous prize in our raffle on the day.

"There is still limited space for further stalls, so if you are interested in potentially having a stall with us, please email holdingsfriends@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you there."

The branch is also holding a Charity Barn Dance with a licensed bar at Welland Village Hall on Saturday, November 11, between 7pm and 11pm.

Tickets are £12.50 including a hog roast, with a vegetarian option and are available from the organisers, Whitehouse Vets, Malvern, on 01684 560940 or whitehousevets.com.

All proceeds will go to The Holdings Rescue and Rehoming Centre to help more animals in need.
