A ROAD in Evesham which was closed after a car crashed into a house has re-opened.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the incident on Port Street shortly after 12.15pm today, with a black Vauxhall Meriva having collided with the home opposite the Regal cinema.
The road was closed for several hours at the junction with Burford Road while damage to the building was assessed by a structural engineer.
According to a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman, two people were treated by paramedics at the scene, but their injuries are not believed to be serious.
Writing on Facebook, Martin Williams said: “Avoid Port Street from the Swan pub to the bridge as [there has] been [an] accident outside the Regal [cinema].”
