RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch is looking for a new home for Penny, a seven-year-old Bichon Frise/King Charles Cavalier cross.

She is described as a lovely, sweet natured little girl who would prefer to be the only dog in the house. She may be fine with another small dog but is not keen on cats.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Penny is a very friendly, affectionate girl who loves company and is just happy to be at home most of the time.

"She needs a secure garden and enjoys mooching around in the garden. Penny is a proper lap dog and has been well looked after."

Penny is housetrained, spayed, chipped and vaccinated. Please call Geraldine on 01886 822083 if you feel you could offer Penny the loving home she deserves.

For other animals seeking adoption, visit the branch website: rspca-worcester.org or call Geraldine on the number above for dogs and The Holdings Rescue Centre for cats and rabbits on 07484 905707.

The new rabbit house is up and running, so if you want to meet the small furries or the cats, the centre is open every day (except Wednesdays) between 11am and 4pm in Holdings Lane, Broomhall, Kempsey, Worcester WR5 3FP.

The branch's open day, which was due to be held last Saturday, was postponed due to the parking area being waterlogged. It has been rearranged for Sunday, April 15.
