EVESHAM Operatic and Dramatic Society will present “an enchanting showcase for the whole family”, this May.

A spokesman said: “The award winning EODS will showcase an array of exceptional local talent in the spellbinding family production of Once Upon a Song at Evesham Arts Centre, from Thursday May17 to Saturday May 19.

“Once Upon a Song delves into a land of fantasy, magic, and the supernatural. The show includes music, dance and poetry from some of the world’s best loved fairy tales and stories, such as Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast, Matilda, The Little Mermaid, Wicked, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Greatest Showman. Once Upon a Song will take audiences on an enchanting and mystical adventure that all ages, from the young to the young at heart, will enjoy.”

Bethaney Rimmer, Director of Once Upon a Song, added: “This show is all about escapism – forgetting about everything in the real world and being immersed in imaginative stories and incredible music.

“It’s exciting to offer an experience that the whole family, from little ones to great-grandparents, can enjoy together. There will be something for everybody.”

“I’ve been immensely fortunate to have worked with an extremely talented cast and production team. For me, theatre and performance are magical in their own right; it’s been a privilege to watch so many members of the society come out of their shell and become captivating solo performers.”
