We're so chuffed with railway job

NEW faces are in the driving seat at Evesham Vale Light Railway this summer.

The train, which runs around the Evesham Country Park in Twyford is now being run by husband and wife Adrian and Sandra Corke.

The couple took over the running of the site in January this year and moved to the area for the new venture.

Mr Corke said: “I have been involved in these things before but this is our first as a couple. I have been working in railways for a while but I wanted to have my own place. We have been taking up to 300 passengers a day but we want more people to know we are here. The train takes people around the park. We stop at a picnic area which can’t be accessed via road and has the best views over the Vale of Evesham.”

As reported last week, the country park is set to be transformed, with plans for a massive revamp.
