Plan for bridge

WYCHAVON District Council will meet next Thursday to decide on the future of Evesham’s Abbey Bridge.

Plans to replace the bridge and viaduct will be discussed by councillors who will decide whether to give the application the green light. If – as expected – the proposals are approved it is hoped work will begin next month.

A number of other applications will be considered at the meeting including proposals for an access road to a site being considered for three wind turbines. The road would be used to access the site for the proposed wind cluster at Ley Farm in Strensham.

Neighbouring authority, Tewkesbury Borough Council, says the plans for the three 126-metre high wind turbines will be considered by councillors before the end of the year.

Meanwhile, plans from North Oak Homes to built 30 new homes at Arrow Lane in North Littleton will also be considered.
