Delicious treats all sold out

GOURMET chefs and mouthwatering food and drinks were on offer at the Country Larder Food Hall.

Visitors enjoyed a vast array of delicacies along with demonstrations by Cotswold Chef Rob Rees and food writer and 2007 Masterchef finalist, Ben Axford.

Mr Rees cooked a variety of dishes using produce from Warner’s Budgens and answered culinary questions.

“People are more into it this year than they have been before,” he said. “It’s more about education. People want to use food in the best way they possibly can. I’ve had lots of questions about making food last longer and re-using stuff. It’s going to be a difficult winter with prices going up.”

Meanwhile, Old Farm, in Dorn, enjoyed a roaring trade as its burgers, glam rock sausages and bacon baps proved popular. By lunchtime the pig roast had sold out and lots of the farm’s other food was selling fast. Owner Sarah Righton said they had come a long way since their first show eight years ago.
