Thank you letter

NOT everyone can boast of having received a thank you letter from the Prime Minister. But Charlotte Jarman, a 20-year-old student from Rous Lench near Evesham, is someone that can.

After a stint as a gamesmaker during the Olympics she was personally thanked by David Cameron in a letter sent to her home. In the letter the former Prince Henry’s student, who currently studies events management at Leeds Metropolitan University, was congratulated for being one of the ‘truly inspiring’ people who gave their time for the Games.

Part of the letter read: “You and your fellow volunteers have been an essential ingredient in a remarkable summer that millions of people across the country have shared and will remember for a lifetime. Quite simply, the Games couldn’t have happened without you.”
