Annual fund-raiser

HUNDREDS of people are expected to enjoy the annual autumn fund-raising event at Peopleton Village Hall on Thursday.
Organiser Ann Price said the coffee morning and evening, which raises money for St Richard’s Hospice, had grown from a small scale event in her own home. Now in its 24th year, there will be a variety of stalls including Christmas gifts and decorations, clothing, jewellery and books.
Mrs Price said: “Lots of people in the village are involved in helping to run it and we hope to raise thousands of pounds for the hospice this year.” The event will run from 10.30am-2pm and 6.30pm-9pm.
