My week started with the ‘Battle of Britain’ service at the Common Wealth War Graves in Waterside Cemetery where I joined a collection of representatives from the RAFA and RBL. It was a poignant service and during the time of reflection, I read the grave stones and to see that most of those buried were between 22 and 25 years of age, really sums up the sacrifice these men made.

On Wednesday, I was invited to the Ringing Chamber of the Bell Tower for the launch of the Bell Tower Ale, which has been brewed by Nigel from the Fleece in Bretforten. From each pint of ale sold 50p will go towards the Bell Tower Appeal. After a photo call, we were all given the pleasure of listening to the Evesham Bell Ringers practise. Not a bad Wednesday by any measure.

Lastly, on Friday, I went to EODS production of Sweeney Todd and I can’t put into words how impressed I was by the show, the cast, and set. I loved it and if you missed this production be sure to go to future shows. I have seen two of their productions and both have been outstanding. You won’t be disappointed.
