A large number of members and three visitors attended our meeting in Peopleton Village Hall. The Chairman read out the notices and some forthcoming events, before introducing our demonstrator for the evening who was Barbara Priest from Herefordshire, her title was Masquerade. Barbara’s first title was The Harlequin beautiful colours to compliment her Harlequin mask, after several more arrangements her last title was The Phantom of the Opera, white flowers depicting Christine and then wonderful red and black colours and finally adding the white mask of the Phantom. Barbara had also complimented her flowers with pieces of music and lots of interesting tales about the history of masks. Members were encouraged to attempt having a go at home, and several of us left with raffle prizes of the arrangements that Barbara had created.
