Harvington Parish Council invites applications for the position of Community Greenspace Warden to inspect and maintain the Jubilee Orchard and the playing Fields. The Harvington Youth Project abandoned its usual activities on Thursday, November 6 for a Bonfire Extravaganza. Fun, food and games were on offer on The Meadow with children and adults warmed by the bonfire, before watching a fantastic firework display. The Harvington Youth Project, headed by its Youth leader Hannah Owen, have regular groups for 10+ on Tuesday evenings, for 7-10s on Thursday evenings and 13+ on Friday evenings. All groups are held in Harvington Baptist Church and full details can be found on the website www.harvington-youth.org.uk. The Harvington Entertains evening being organised by the Youth Project on Saturday, November 15 is now sold out.

The members of the Walking Group will be putting their boots on again on Tuesday, November 18 for a 7 mile walk around Callow Hill and Rock. There will be an opportunity for a pub lunch at the end of the walk. Contact Trevor 871334.

Harvington Lunch Club for those aged 50+, continues to meet every Thursday between 12midday-3pm in the Coach and Horses for a chat over a warm meal. Contact Steve at the pub on 870249.

HATS (Harvington Amateur Theatrical Society) is back and coming to a Village Hall near you. If you have missed their performances during their absence, or if you have never seen them, but enjoy live performances, come and see their new production. ‘Break A Leg’ written especially for HATS will be playing on Thursday November 20, Friday 21 and Saturday 22, tickets are £8 or £7 concessions, and advance bookings can be made on 871531.

The 8th Annual Festive Tasting Day at Ellenden Farm Shop takes place on Saturday, November 22 between 11am-3pm. Entry is free. There will be a chance to see apples being pressed, dog agility and Paul Napper, head chef at the Evesham Hotel, will be giving inspiring cooking demonstrations. There will be chance to try goods from many food suppliers, and to take refreshments from the bar and burger stall. Father Christmas will arrive by pony and trap at 12midday and can then be visited in his grotto. Entrance to the grotto is free but a donation to the Midlands Air Ambulance would be appreciated. All this will take place accompanied by festive tunes played by the Harvington Handbell Ringers.
