The December Meeting of Bidford on Avon WI was held at The Bidford on Avon Methodist Church. Jerusalem was sung and the President, Shirley McAloon welcomed everyone especially guests from neighbouring WIs. Members were given written information about future events and classes being arranged by the Warwickshire Federation of WIs.and Shirley thanked the members who had helped at the Turning on the Christmas Lights event.
The speakers for the evening were Sandy and Toni Lewis. Their son Conrad was killed whilst on active service in Afghanistan. He had adopted a dog Pegasus (lovingly know as Peg ) whilst in Afghanistan. The talk was about their son, Peg and how Peg had been repatriated and now living with them. Most importantly Peg was also present at the meeting.
Refreshments were enjoyed and the evening ended with the competition winners being announced and the raffle being drawn.
Our January meeting will be held on January 8 at 7.30 at the Bidford Bowling Club where we will enjoy a meal and entertainment
