THE next monthly WI Lite Stratford (WILS) meeting is on Tuesday, January 13 at 7.30pm at The Shakespeare Centre, Henley Street, Stratford where we will be joined by guest speaker Val Rainbow from Bastet Belly Dance.
Val will be starting off by doing a quick demonstration of the Egyptian style belly dancing before going through the history and origins and showing us some costume examples. We’ll also get to hear about the benefits of belly dancing with the chance of some Q&A’s at the end of the meeting.
Of course, there will be the option of some audience participation! Perfect after all the Christmas seasons indulgences!
WILS meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month and our lovely WILS ladies ages range from 20’s to 70’s. In addition to our usual meetings, WILS have lots of extra great events from lunch clubs, theatre trips, crafting and even a darts team – there really is much, much more than jam and Jerusalem!
New members are always very welcome and can come along for a free session to see what we are all about.
