We started 2015 with our monthly meeting held at a new venue – The Council Chamber at Wychavon Civic Centre on Tuesday, January 20. Everyone enjoyed an excellent talk by Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s Jan Brant on How to reduce fire incidents particularly amongst older people. A lively and informative session bringing new thoughts and ideas to an area of safety probably we all think we have covered.

Pershore and District U3A is looking to build on its reputation in 2015 by enhancing the range and choice of Interest groups and activities for its membership.

We are also looking to recruit new members of semi and retired local people to join, so that they can benefit from the range of fun and sociable activities on offer.

A monthly meeting is held every third Tuesday at the Civic Centre in Pershore, 2-4pm. Our talk next month on February 17 is by Richard Churchly on ‘Market Towns - History, Function and Importance’.

On March 17 we have Ronald Gallivan on ‘Gold, Ghosts and Graveyards’ - a very diverse range of topics, something for everyone.
