THE chairman welcomed everyone to the January meeting and introduced Marilyn Watts who gave a talk on the children of Nepal. She had spent three weeks teaching children in Pokhara. Nepal is the fourth poorest country in the world but the children all wore uniforms and were very proud of them. The only thing that is plentiful is good clean water. They are also very clever with their crafts which they sold to tourists on their way to Everest. The scenery looked spectacular and in parts it is sub tropical. The chairman thanked her. The club had collected £100 in lieu of Christmas cards and it was sent to Acorns to be used for child cancer. The social secretary asked for suggestions for holidays in 2016 .

The meeting ended with the raffle there were ten prizes. The next meeting will be at Peopleton Village Hall 10.30am for 11am. All welcome just come along or contact the Membership Secretary on 01905 458458.
