The Pershore Ladies Guild met on February 3 at the Civic Centre to hold their Annual General Meeting and 11th Birthday celebration.
Usual reports were heard from The Chairman ,Secretary and Treasurer. We said goodbye to a few of our committee who have served the guild over many years, so they can now enjoy a well earned rest.
Rose plants were presented to Joan Du Cane, Pamela Clarke and our Treasurer Mavis James also received a voucher to say thank you for her sterling work, keeping our finances in order over many years.
New officers were elected and we welcomed two new members to the committee, and, we didn’t have to twist their arm to join us.
The meeting continued with refreshments including sharing a Birthday cake to Celebrate 11 years and of course plenty of time for chat an with 41 members present it was not the quietest of times but very enjoyable.
Our next meeting will be held on March 3 at 2pm at The Civic Centre and we would welcome any ladies who would like to join us or come along and visit.
