WE are just about to start a Shared Learning Project with support from our local library. The idea is that a number of people interested in a given topic get together for research, finding out as much as they can. They then create a document which becomes a resource that others can use.

Evesham is rich in history, we know about Eof, the Bell Tower and the Battle of Evesham, but what else? What about the life of ordinary people in Evesham in 1265? How did Evesham grow after that? What about the people who built the Unitarian Chapel in 1737 when Unitarians were persecuted.

This is an Evesham U3A initiative, with support from the library, and we will welcome input from other interested parties. It will be a short-term group with a specific goal and an end date.

There will be an open meeting at Evesham library to get this started, which is being held on Monday March 23, from 2-4pm. Everyone is invited on a first-come first-served basis - the room holds 40 people.
