A busy weekend started with a wonderful performance of ‘Midsummer’s Night Dream’ at Prince Henry’s High School. It was hard to believe that we were watching a school production and not a professional performance. The quality of the actors, actresses, musicians and sets was brilliant. Well done to all those involved, no doubt you all have bright futures ahead of you!

On Saturday morning, I attended the first Evesham Park Run. The Chairman of Wychavon and I started the race and it was great to see its first week so well supported. It’s wonderful that we have such a great new activity in our town. A big thank you to the organisers and volunteers whose efforts have brought Park Run to Evesham.

Lastly on Saturday afternoon, I went to the Country Park to support Evesham Rowing Club’s ‘Rowathon’. A number of rowers were attempting to row the length of the river Thames in one day all in a bid to ultimately raise enough money to purchase a new boat for the ladies team. I had a go and twenty minutes later and feeling rather queasy, I had managed to row 4000+ meters, which was a small achievement in itself.
