SHIRLEY welcomed everyone to the June meeting of Bidford on Avon WI which was held at the Bidford Methodist church.
Details of all future events and trips had been given in writing or by E mail to all members.
Lynn Kirkman and Mary Paddock had attended the WI Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace and had a very exciting day. Lyn was delighted that she had had conversations with the Countess of Wessex and Duchess of Cornwall.
Ann Smith went as a delegate to the Centenary WI meeting at the Royal Albert Hall. She gave a brilliant report which included details of the Queen , Princess Royal and Countess of Wessex who had attended the morning session. After a lot of discussion the resolution was not accepted so there was no voting. A very memorable if tiring day.
A hands on card making workshop took place organised by Lynn and Brenda Kirkman. A good evening with lots of fun and importantly numerous cards made.
Our July meeting will be held on July 9 at 7.30 at the Bidford Methodist Church. The Speaker will be Angela Dyke – her talk Memories of Bidford on Avon.
