AT OUR recent meeting we were treated to a fascinating presentation of the history of Sulgrave Manor and the Washington Family by Martin Sirot-Smith who was dressed in traditional Tudor costume which really brought the history to life.
Last Tuesday we held our coffee morning which, thanks to all our volunteers and supporters, raised a net profit of £156.70, which will go to charity. On Wednesday, our members enjoyed a river trip from Reading to Henley. Our next meeting will be on August 12 which will include bingo followed by refreshments.
On a more serious note, we are in desperate need of a chairman and secretary. If we cannot fill these positions then the club is in danger of closing which would be a tragedy. If you feel you could help us, please contact Colin Hancox on 01608 650972 or David Hardiman on 01608 650688.
