On July 28 at the Town Hall, members of the Forum dressed in appropriate costumes to listen to the interesting talk by David Snowdon on Simon de Montfort and the Battle of Evesham. Afterwards they had a mediaeval ploughman's lunch washed down with apple juice and elderflower cordial.
Within the Forum is a group of ladies who do voluntary knitting for local charities.
They call themselves K2TOG (knit two together) and recently produced 47 cat blankets for Avon Cat Rescue Centre. They are now knitting Sensory Bands for people with dementia and would welcome any donations of knitting wool to continue helping local charities.
The next meeting of the Forum is on Tuesday, August 25, which will be the Summer Social with afternoon tea and musical entertainment. Tickets are available any Monday or Thursday morning at the Town Hall between 10.30am and 12 noon.
