THE January Meeting of Bidford on Avon WI was held at The Bidford on Avon Bowling Club on a very cold evening. President, Shirley McAloon welcomed members and guests.
All the details of events, outings, classes, February meeting competitions were detailed in the monthly news letter and programme.
Traditionally at the January meeting a wonderful three course meal prepared by the Committee is enjoyed. January 14 saw us keeping up with tradition. This was the second time our January meeting had been held at the Bowling Club and it was a great success.
Poems were read by Shirley and Ann. Pauline, Pam, Mary, Hazel, Joan and Julie performed an amazing if somewhat shortened version of Cinderella.
Annual cup presentations were made. Ann Smith winning the Flower from my Garden Cup and Heather Haywood winning the Competition cup.
Presentations were made to Shirley, Pauline and Mary for their hard work as Officers at Bidford on Avon WI and the evening ended with the raffle being drawn.
The February meeting is February 11 at the Bidford Methodist Church. The speaker is Alison Kennedy, author and journalist.
