THE March meeting of Bidford on Avon WI was held at The Bidford Methodist church.
President, Shirley McAloon welcomed everyone including numerous visitors. All the details of events, outings and ,classes were detailed in the monthly news letter.
The speaker for the evening was Jean Cholerton. Her talk was entitled ‘Our wild life haven on the Old Railway at Cranhill. Her power point presentation showed how this old railway had been turned into a private nature reserve and now attracts numerous moths and butterflies.
March was the 85th birthday of Bidford on Avon WI and members and visitors then enjoyed a ploughmans supper and birthday cake. The evening ended with the raffle being drawn.
Our April meeting will be held on April 14 at 7.30pm at the Bidford Methodist Church. The speaker is Doctor Gillian White. Her talk is the Great Fire of Warwick.
