At the April meeting Mr David Howe gave a talk on Laughter “The Best Medicine? “ it was very thought provoking . Everyone enjoys a good laugh and it is quite an art to get people laughing, in fact he cited quite a few comedians who had died young so it must also be stressful. He was warmly thanked as we all enjoyed it. The chairman then gave one of his “ticklers”. he then went on to say that the Lunch at the Berkeley had been enjoyed by everyone and a toast was proposed to Her Majesty the Queen for her 90th Birthday. A reminder was given that the June meeting is the AGM and it would be nice to see some more volunteers to stand for the committee The Chairman reminded members that committee members and those that organise events do not receive payment or gratuities it is purely voluntary and we should be grateful for their efforts. Annual membership is due , it has remained at £6. The next meeting will be on May 25 and the talk will be Heart Start by Chris Stockman. Visitors and new members are welcome.
