THE meeting was held at the Bidford Methodist Church.
Details of all future events and trips had been given in writing or by E mail to all members prior to the meeting.
Members were asked to put in writing ideas for the 2017 competitions. A draw was made and those chosen will be the competitions detailed in the printed programme. Some very interesting ideas.
Ann Smith had spent a day at the Triennial Meeting of ACWW which was held at Warwick University and reported on the wonderful work of this Organisation.
This was the Annual Meeting of Bidford on Avon and all relevant reports were made. Shirley the President thanked the Committee and all the members for their support. New members had joined It had been another happy and very successful year. Shirley McAloon was elected President.
The highlight of the evening was the refreshments – bring and share starters. A real feast and enjoyed by everyone.
The meeting ended with the announcement of the competition winners and the drawing of the raffle
The December meeting is December 8 at the Methodist church when the speaker, will be Barry Watson. His talk ‘ The agony and ecstasy of a canal hotel boater’.
