FOLLOWING our AGM in May, Jane Thompson was re-elected as President. We have won the County Skittles Tournament beating 60 teams across Worcestershire. We also came second in the Group Quiz which is really a first for us as we usually struggle with a creditable position in the Group Quizzes.

Our Quiz with Fish & Chip Supper organised and lead by Eileen Goodall was once again a resounding success, with well balanced questions and delicious fish and chips. The outing to Birmingham with Guide Carole Vizor was enjoyed by all who went and members had a thoroughly good time, despite the heat! visiting places such as Brindley Place, the New Library, the Council Offices, Symphony Hall and other very interesting and historic places with lunch at The Art Gallery.

Members are now looking forward to our 5 day holiday in Eastbourne in November and a Christmas Shopping trip to Cardiff.

Our garden meeting in June had to be held in the Village Hall due to inclement weather which seems to happen to us every year. However, we had a lovely supper with a varied array of sweet and savoury foods, a quiz and an enjoyable time just eating and talking!

At our meeting on July 13 we shall be learning “The Secrets of the Beehive” with Michael Eden. Anyone is welcome to come along. We meet at the Remembrance Hall, Badsey and the meeting starts at 7.15. You never know you might like us so much you will want to come again or even join us!
