ON 15 September approx. 45 members of the Society enjoyed a day visit to Trentham Gardens, Staffs and Dorothy Clive Gardens, Shropshire. Trentham is an award-winning garden voted Countryfile's 'Garden of the Year 2015' Apart from the famous Italian Garden, the lake and the show gardens, the lower garden 'Floral Labyrinth' was looking especially colourful with late Summer perennials mixed with a variety of grasses. In the afternoon we visited Dorothy Clive Gardens, a 12 acre hillside garden and woodland quarry. This charming garden is at its best in the Spring so members will hopefully return but it is a lovely place to visit at any time. Our 17 November meeting will be our AGM (members only). Visitors are welcome to join us on December 15th for a talk on 'New Place Gardens, Stratford' by Scott Boyden. Non-members £3. For further details: 01789 268974 www.bidfordgardens.com.
