A large group of members met at the Town Hall on 27 September to share a meal of fish and chips together.

The food was hot, crisp and delicious, having been cooked and delivered by a nearby shop. This was followed by a selection of scrumptious assorted cakes and tea.

Everyone seemed to have enjoyed that. We were joined by several other members for the afternoon.

We had been asked by the West Midlands Later Life Forum to take part in a survey being done by Aston University into the feelings, views and experiences members have had on various aspects of growing older. The areas covered included how people felt, what interests they have, what they care about and what they worry about, as well as thinking about how they would advise younger people to prepare for growing older. A great deal of thought, discussion and laughing went on before the task was completed.

The results will be collated and forwarded.

A huge thank you for all those who took part and to all those who worked to make the afternoon a success.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday,October 25 at 1.30 pm.
