The leaders says "A figure of eight walk based on Winchcombe. The morning takes in parts of the Gloucestershire Way and the Wardens Way, returning via Home Park. It includes some steady climbs in the first half but is almost all downhill in the second. The afternoon utilises the old Cotswold Way to Belas Knap (a climb of about 200m spread over two miles), returning over parts of the new Cotswold Way." The cup was won by John Allison with a carefully presented story of the Epiphany well illustrated by stamps from around the world. Our next meeting will be at 7.30pm on January 18 at Wallace House, Oat Street when Mick Bridgewater will present a display entitled ‘The fall of the Russian empire’. The leaders says “A figure of 8 walk. In the morning we go down to Postlip and gradually climb back, with the longest climb (90 m up) just before lunch. The afternoon goes round Cleeve Hill, visiting some of the less well known spots. A few short climbs, mostly in the half hour after lunch. Varied scenery and fine views."
